Alone With One

He who made you alone and bright

Will ever leave you hard and tight?

All your fantasies but grow at heart

Hundreds opposing the beauty, the craft!

Secrets of Self

The form of existence is an effect of the Self,
Whatsoever thou seest is a secret of the Self,
When the Self awoke to consciousness.
It revealed the universe of Thought.
A hundred words are hidden in its essence:
Self-affirmation brings Not-self to light. The Self rises, kindles, falls, glows, breathes,
Burns, shines, walks, and flies.
The spaciousness of Time is its arena,
Heaven is a billow of the dust on the road.
From its rose-planting the world abounds in roses;
Night is born of its sleep, day springs from its waking.
It divided its flame into sparks
And taught the understanding to worship particulars.
It dissolved itself and created the atoms
It was scattered for a little while and created sands.
Then it wearied of dispersion
And by re-uniting itself it became the mountains.
‘Tis the nature of the Self to manifest itself
In every atom slumbers the might of the Self.
Power that is expressed and inert
Chains the faculties which lead to action.
Inasmuch as the life of the universe comes from the power of the Self,
Life is in proportion to this power.
When a drop of water gets of Self’s lesson by heart,
It makes its worthless existence a pearl.

When Life gathers strength from the Self,
The river of Life expands into an ocean.

Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Some excerpts from Deepak Chopra’s “How to knowGod” to begin with…

We evolve to find God. A seeker always hopes to see the one, true final God who will settle all doubts, but instead we hunt for clues. Unable to take in totality of God, we get hints from the brain, which is exercising an amazing ability to insert a glimpse of spirit in the most mundane situations. ….

Modern life appears to us random and chaotic….it looks meaningless because we are worn out of old responses, old realities….and an old version of God. In this lifeless life we want to bring God back….so we will have to find new responses….new clues….to lead us on the path. As some spiritual teacher has put it…..

” The material world is infinite, but it is a boring infinity….The really interesting infinity lies beyond….”

God’s most cherished secrets are hidden inside the human skull – ecstacy, eternal love, grace and mystery….Find a window to God…you have to realize that your brain is layered into regions that are ruled by different impulses. The new kingdoms are full of higher thought, poetry, and Love like Qur’an or Bible or any sacred text.

Prayer is a journey in consciousness – it takes you to a place different from ordinary thought. The awareness is the “light” torchbearer for all intelligence and life.

The fact that we are born with the potential to go from simple survival to God-consciousness is the remarkable trait that sets our nervous system apart from all other creatures.

Think God….Feel God….as He describes Himself….and why not…why any doubt ….since the science modern religion affirms and traces creartion back to light….

24:35. Allah (is) the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Likeness of ITs/His Light is as if there were a Niche/Alcove and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself), though no fire touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom IT/He will to ITs/His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.

Sonnet (On his Blindness)

When I consider how my light is spent
Ere half my days, in this dark world and wide,
And that one talent which is death to hide
Lodged with me useless, thought my soul more bent
To serve therewith my Make, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide:
‘Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?’
I fondly ask. But patience, to prevent
That murmur, soon replies: ‘God doth not need
Either man’s work or his own grist, who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best, his State
Is Kingly. Thousands at his bidding speed
And post o’er land and ocean without rest;
They also serve, who only stand and wait
.’

John Milton (1608-1674)

From THE NEW OXFORD BOOK OF CHRISTIAN VERSE
Oxford University Press, 1981
pp. 97 – 98

Milton had frankly admitted that he could not see while he had physical sight, but later he enjoyed brightest vision in blindness…..many can just dream of. Its still wondering to know what is seeing? who see? what can be seen & How?

In the name of Allah the most merciful and the most beneficient

I’m going to begin with a story sent by friend of a friend

One day I decided to quit… quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality… and my life

I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
“God”, I said. “Can you give me one good reason not to quit?”

His answer surprised me…
“Look around”, He said. “Do you see the fern and the bamboo?”

“Yes”, I replied.

“When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water.

The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.

But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.

And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.” He said.

“In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit. In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed.”

“I would not quit.” He continued.

“Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.

Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant…But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.

It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of My creations a challenge it could not handle.”

He said to me. “Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots.

I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you.

Don’t compare yourself to others.” He advised. “The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful.

Your time will come”, God said to me. “You will rise high”

“How high should I rise” I asked.

“How high will the bamboo rise” He asked in return.

“As high as it can?” I questioned.

“Yes.” He said, “Give Me glory by rising as high as you can.”

I left the forest and brought back this story. I hope these words can help you to see that God will never give up on you. Never give up

Hoping for the best for all!
